With each Spirit Liberia project, whether agriculture, evangelism, or simply meeting some of the basic needs of people in Liberia, our desire is to see Christ glorified and the churches of Liberia strengthened.

The churches of Liberia are desperate for help. Almost all churches are incapable of supporting their elders (pastors) and because of this pastors have a very hard life.

Our church support projects, just as with our agricultural projects, are intended to teach responsibility, accountability, and self-sustainability, not dependancy upon Spirit Liberia or American aid. Currently Spirit Liberia holds discipleship training weekly at several locations, teaching new Christians as well as church leaders.

Spirit Liberia also has been working with churches who are looking to be approved by Spirit Liberia for support as we have the means. This may be in the way of agricultural projects to convention support or training programs. We are also looking to support several church supported schools with curriculum for the 2009 school year.

With all of the desperate needs of these churches, Spirit Liberia is dedicated to continue the development of programs that aid the churches in the needs in their communities, the needs of their congregation, and their needs for the spread of the gospel.
